A Blog Both Wonderful and Strange

Hello and welcome to a series I'm doing. So I have made the decision to read all of the books in the Star Wars Expanded Universe - that is, the Star Wars works outside of the films and The Clone Wars  that were released prior to April 25, 2014. I will not only cover the novels here, but the games and comic books. But mostly the novels, for that's where most of the EU 's content is. I will cover the novels in order, except for the Han Solo and Lando Calrissian Adventures, because I accidentally forgot they existed between reading Splinter of the Mind's Eye and Heir to the Empire. I'll go back to them before reading the Han Solo trilogy . I will not be covering the novels intended for younger audiences, however. At least not right now. I am a huge Star Wars fan. Always have been. My mother has frequently recalled that I was regularly humming Star Wars music as early as two years old. Being a huge Star Wars fan, I am not without my opinions. I LOVE the original trilogy, I don't like the prequels, and I love the sequels so far. I even love The Last Jedi . If that previous sentence made you stop reading, you may just be why I'm writing this blog post. Not because I want to convince you to like it, though. Not at all. This goes a little deeper. Remember how I said I don't like the prequels? Well, just two years ago, I would not have left it at that. I would have gone on a tirade against these three films and ruined three podcast episodes over it. So, I realized that I own a good number of films on DVD that I haven't watched before. Same case with a bunch of public domain ones I got off the Internet Archive. So, I figured, why not finally watch them and do reviews while I'm at it? If I could get screenshots from the films on my DVR and the ones I watch in theaters, I'd do some of those, too, but whatever. I'm expecting most of these DVD and downloaded films to be bad, so this might be pretty fun. And I'm going to spoil the heck out of these things because I'm going to dissect them as much as I want. The most constant question asked to Bond fans: "Who is your favorite Bond?" Being a fan of James Bond (do I italicize that? It's the name of the franchise, but it feels weird italicizing a name), I have thought of this question many times. Rather than listing my favorite Bonds from worst to best or best to worst, I will just list them chronologically and give my thoughts on each of them. Note that I will only be discussing the Bonds of the EON film series, as I have never seen the 1967 Casino Royale and it's been years since I've watched the Climax! episode or Never Say Never Again. I will compare each portrayal with Ian Fleming's character of the novels (to the best of my ability as I'm only on the third book as of this post, so I may come back around to update!) as well as my own personal praises and criticisms. I hinted at the end of my last blog post that the next one would be about James Bond. The one after this one will be. Although this one does have some James Bond in it. So, I'm officially on summer break. And there are a lot of things I want to do over the summer. Going to skip over the boring stuff like work and just get to the things that I'd totally blog about if I ever feel like doing so. Film/Television I'm not going to list every single film I'm going to watch over the summer because I'm going to watch a lot of them, many I'm not planning on ahead of time. And I can't even think of any specifically that I want to watch, aside from what we're planning on doing for  Adventures in Celluloid . I'd like to aim for at least one film a day. I'm probably going to do another Twin Peaks rewatch. Or a few. Yeah, probably a few. Definitely a few. I'll probably also watch a good amount of Monty Python. Almost as guaranteed as Twi...

Ah, yes. A "Top 10" list. I can do that. I can definitely do that. Not difficult at all. Anyhoo the title is pretty self-explanatory here. This list is my ten favorite moments from the first two seasons of Twin Peaks. Why just the first two seasons? Well, I see Fire Walk with Me and Season 3/ The Return/ A Limited Event Series/(2017) as their own separate things and I didn't understand Season 3 at all I am not currently able to take screenshots from Blu-ray discs.
